Guests can choose from a wide variety of activities that are included with the House  — swimming in the ocean or our own pool, kayaking, surfing on our boogie boards, exercising on the elliptical strider, taking a short walk for sundowners on the dunes, or just lounging with a good book in a swing bed.  For the ambitious, there are miles of firm sand beaches for strolling or jogging or even the possibility of an eight mile walk to town on the pristine ocean beach.   Guests have exclusive use of the Kizingoni boat and captain for an additional charge of USD $3.50/liter for water sports including water skiing and tubing as well as off-site trips for snorkeling on the reefs, birding in the estuaries and trips to Lamu Town and other historic sites. In addition, when available, off-site activities with the neighbors can be arranged at extra cost for deep sea fishing, swimming with dolphins (from November to April),  sailing, wind surfing, or a sunset cruise on a dhow. And for those who bring their own equipment, it should be mentioned that  kite surfers have found seasonal conditions ideal just a short distance around the point on the ocean side.

The nearby traditional fishing village of Kipungani  welcomes visitors and offers an introduction to traditional coastal life. “Mo”, our resident manager can arrange a visit to his village .
