Guests can choose from a wide variety of activities that are included with the House — swimming in the ocean or our own pool, kayaking, surfing on our boogie boards, exercising on the elliptical strider, taking a short walk for sundowners on the dunes, or just lounging with a good book in a swing bed. For the ambitious, there are miles of firm sand beaches for strolling or jogging or even the possibility of an eight mile walk to town on the pristine ocean beach. Guests have exclusive use of the Kizingoni boat and captain for an additional charge of USD $3.00/liter for trips to Lamu Town, Shella or nreaby historic sites.
All water sports, other than in our own kayaks, can be arranged at the sports center next door. They offer water skiing, wake boarding, paddling and dingy sailing as well as snorkeling and swimming with dolphins (seasonal). Kitesurfing, including excellent instruction, is also available. Their prices are reasonable and the guests pay them directly.
Our Resident Manager “Mo” can discuss with you options for dhow sailing including a sunset cruise, and can take you on a hike to his fishing village to learn more about traditional coastal life.
